THE PRACTICE

Theodore M. Morgan, II; MD

Psychiatrist

“My philosophy as a doctor has been to ensure that my patients do not feel any different coming to a psychiatrist than they do any other specialty. Removing the stigma of mental illness begins with the realization that conditions affecting the brain are no different than conditions affecting any other organ system, and they should not feel any worse for taking care of those conditions. Hence our motto: ‘Taking care of mental health is healthcare’ ”

Teressa Hale, LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor

As a therapist, I strive to educate and show correlation to my clients how their thoughts and feelings truly have merit on the type of behaviors they display and symptoms they experience. If one can learn coping skills such as, positive self-talk, meditation, self regulation, and mindfulness living, then change can absolutely occur. The guiding force in every individual resides within his/her inner self.  I strive to meet my clients where they are to provide safe, non-judgmental and confidential space to express themselves.

Amanda Green, NP
Nurse Practitioner

As a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, it's my goal to advocate for patients who struggle to be heard or respected, and to manage their treatment with compassion, understanding, and attention to holistic care.  Nursing is all about the relationship you establish with your patients, and understanding them from their perspective. I believe mental health care should be a collaborative effort between the individual and their provider, with the ultimate goal of achieving total body wellness
